Do they need previous experience or qualifications to attend?
There is no formal requirement for candidates to be electricians, however to enable the best chance of passing the examination they should have a sound knowledge of electrical principles and units of electricity and an understanding of basic testing procedures. We recommend for delegates attending the City and Guilds PAT Testing course purchase or have a look at the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment
Its available on the internet at various places including Amazon. Its not mandatory but it will really assist delegates into what the training will cover and what to expect.
