The administrative role is a key role within Ledbury Town Council, often being the first point of contact for the public, councillors, and stakeholders.

What you will do in your working day

During an average week you will be required to work on tasks such as:

  • Taking bookings for the weekly market and be responsible for assigning pitches
  • Taking bookings for weddings which are held in the Jacobean Room
  • Preparation of meeting agendas for despatch to Councillors
  • Attending meetings to take and transcribe minutes
  • General admin work

Working in our busy office in Hereford, with a variety of people, you will support the team with administrative duties and requests when they come to you for help.

What you will do in your working day

To manage and support all administrative duties within the Hereford Office. 

  • Meet, greet and hosting customers and suppliers when they visit the office.
  • Preparing conference rooms for meetings and tidying the conference rooms following the completion of meetings.
  • Assisting the whole LPA team with daily tasks as required.
  • Personal assistant activities to support the management team.
  • Aspects of calendar management
  • Liaising with all members of the LPA team.
  • Receiving incoming calls and taking messages.
  • Maintaining the internal telephone number list.
  • Ordering stationery provisions.
  • Taking post to the post office.

Engineering

Bathgate Flooring are offering the opportunity for you to learn and obtain experience/qualification in the fundamentals of mechanical and electrical engineering which you will then be able to implement within the live factory environment as part of the engineering team.

What you will do in your working day

As part of the Engineering team you will work alongside experienced engineers who are keen to support your progression.  As your learning/skills develop you will be involved with both preventative and ongoing maintenance/improvement work.

Join our well established team as a Fabricator / Welder apprentice. We offer a 4 year programme aimed at achieving a Level 3 Diploma in advanced manufacturing engineering. This is a position within a small company which provides variation along with routine tasks. The candidate will be required to work as part of a small team and ultimately contribute to the fabrication, planning and production requirements of the company.

What you will do in your working day

Some typical duties could include:

  • Assisting our existing fabrication manager to decide on a schedule for the day or week using information from the sales team.
  • Assessing existing stock to ascertain potential shortfalls and re-stock accordingly.
  • TIG and MIG welding, grinding and general preparation of components using hand-held power tools.
