Engineering Tutor

HWGTA are seeking an engineer/tutor to deliver effective, dynamic and high-quality training to apprentice and external learners on our Level 3 Engineering Diploma. Experience preferred but consideration would be given to qualified Engineers looking to move into a tutoring role.  Applications from recent graduates with a relevant degree are also encouraged.   The ideal candidate will specialise in and be able to teach the Technician and/or Mechatronics pathways, preferably with the ability to teach further Maths and Electrical Principles. The ability to teach one or more core units such as Engineering Maths, Communications, Materials and H&S is desirable.

Candidates will have excellent communication skills, at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing/engineering workplace (unless a recent graduate) and a Level 3 or higher qualification in relevant engineering discipline. 

Desirable qualities include Level 4+ in teaching/education, assessor/verifier qualifications, HNC in Engineering, knowledge of EAL AME qualifications, apprenticeship standards and frameworks.
