Apprentices

Commerce

Working alongside the existing finance department the primary focus of this role will initially be in the Accounts Receivable function. This position will allow you to learn our Collections departments process from the initial point of invoicing through to the collection of payments. You will also gain experience in other departments.

What you will do in your working day

The average day will consist of:

·        Daily allocation of funds received from insurers into the bank account.

·        Reconciliation of PDQ funds taken across 34 sites.

·        Running of debt reports and pro-active chasing of overdue balances

In addition to these daily activities, you will be helping with month and year end processes for the accounts receivable department, there will also be some nominal ledger postings and reconciliations.

We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate to assist in all functions within our Accounts Department. This role will include checking and processing purchase ledger invoices, ensuring they meet the company's policies and assisting with credit control. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow within a small team and wider organisation.

What you will do in your working day

This role's primary focus is to assist in the accounts for our Hotel & Spa, The Elms.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining customer and supplier accounting records
  • Processing supplier invoices and requesting authority from the Heads of Departments within the organisation
  • Assisting with supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with a range of office, administrative and ad-hoc finance-related tasks as required

What you will do in your working day

  • You will be the first point of contact for our parents and school visitors, performing receptionist duties face to face and on the telephone and email throughout the day.

What you will do in your working day

Total Construction Training is looking for a part-time administrator to add to our growing team. With two training centres locally in Bromsgrove and Astwood Bank, Redditch we run health and Safety courses for the Construction and Waste Industries. The role is to assist the management in the running of the busy training, Monday-Friday 8am-4.30pm.

Job Role:

  • Office Admin
  • Compiling Training/Test Packs.
  • Registering and resulting of learners on awarding body platforms.
  • Ordering of learner cards/certificates.
  • Keeping learner records up to date on CRM system.
  • Sending out cards/certificates in post.

The post will be based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and will support our very busy out-patient services delivering responsive care. You will assist the Business Support Administrator lead and Occupational Therapy Manager with continued modernisation of the service as well as work with other administration colleagues in our service.

What you will do in your working day

The key duties of the apprenticeship post will be:

  • To provide data inputting using the OASIS system, partially booking and recording activity carried out within out-patient patients during OT assessment and treatment sessions.
  • To assist provide reception duties for the Occupational Therapy out-patient services
  • Receive and make work related telephone calls and take accurate messages, respecting patient and staff confidentiality.
  • Provide general administration support to Occupational Therapy department, including typing, dealing with post and correspondence, photocopying, scanning, laminating.
  • To support the Out-patient Services Business Support Administrator ensuring smooth running of reception, completion of required administrative and clerical tasks and out-patient activity collection
  • To log maintenance and IT requests and follow up on calls.
  • To assist with housekeeping duties within the departments, ensuring security of the department and its property.
  • To comply with the trusts policies and procedures

Engineering

We have positions for Fabricator Welder Apprentices, we work within the structural steelwork industry. Based in our factory in Droitwich, you will be taught to fabricate structural steelwork to technical drawings and to be able to work safely and progress with welding qualifications to be become accomplished fabricators within a technical field.

What you will do in your working day

We have positions on our accomplished Apprentice programme to produce the next generation of Fabricator Welders
Tasks include:

  • Reading engineering drawings and material sizes , measuring and marking out sections for fabrication, using cutting tools and grinding equipment to position plates on to beams and sections, using welding equipment to position plates and channels in correct position to correct welding size outlined in fabrication drawings.
  • MAG Welding using procedures to weld joints in accordance to the drawing for fillet welds, butt welds and stud welding. Visually inspecting welds and quality control of individual output
  • Use of overhead cranes to move steel. ( training will be provided and restrictive action on age and experience will be evaluated)
  • Picking plates to accompany steel sections that require fabrication
  • Use of machinery – flame cutting tools, grinding handtools, band saw ( training will be provided)
  • Marking up finished beams with traceability stamps and completing paperwork
  • Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety organisational requirements
  • Carry out required checks on equipment pre use and record
  • Some relay of departments will be involved to give a broader understanding of the process of fabricated steel from painting, shotblasting, plate making etc
  • This will be our 4th intake of Apprentices and successful apprentices will be given further opportunities to progress.
