This qualification has been designed for teachers and trainers working in, or aiming to work in, the work-based learning (WBL), further education (FE) and independent training provider (ITP) sectors.
This 3 hour online ‘taster’ course introduces delegates to some uses of Generative AI (genAI) for home and business applications. Delegates will not be expected to have any previous experience in the use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT or MS Co-Pilot) before the session. It is expected that users will be experienced in use of a standard PC or laptop keyboard and will have used web browser tools such as Google to perform simple web searches as well as using common Office applications such as MS Word. The course will provide a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, its applications, and potential impact, enabling delegates to recognise AI opportunities and challenges. The course will introduce you to the basics of using AI to save time and work more effectively and efficiently in the home or in business. By the end of the course all delegates will be able to:
  • Understand fundamental AI concepts and terminology.
  • Identify practical AI applications for home and business.
  • Describe the purpose of a some genAI tools including ChatGPT, Microsoft Co-Pilot, Google Gemini
  • Use basic techniques to create a range of documents and communications relevant for own purposes
  • Evaluate the potential impact of AI on individuals and society.
  • Formulate an action plan for own genAI use and development.
 
 
This course gives employees the skills and knowledge, how to improve manual handling techniques, move and handle loads safely and be able to conduct a personal manual handling risk assessment. Can be tailored to the workplace/job.
Candidates will need to assess what good project management looks like, what the core elements of the planning process look like, who the key stakeholders might be and how to monitor outputs and outcomes. Leadership styles of projects is also considered
