How our Accountancy Apprenticeships work
Our accountancy apprenticeships offer the perfect mix of practical experience and expert training. You’ll spend four days a week with your employer, getting involved in real projects and learning on the job. Then, one day a week, you’ll join other apprentices at our training centres in Hereford or Worcester to build your professional skills. Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll:

Qualification levels
Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2
Perfect if you’re new to finance, this foundation programme gives you a solid grounding in basic accounting principles and techniques.
You’ll learn essential bookkeeping skills while working towards your AAT Foundation Certificate, setting you up for career progression.

Assistant Accountant Level 3
Ready to take on more complex accounting tasks? Our Level 3 programme develops your technical expertise across a broader range of accounting functions. Ideal for those progressing from Level 2 or with existing workplace experience.

Professional Accounting Technician Level 4
Advance your career with our highest-level accountancy apprenticeship. You’ll develop specialist knowledge in areas like tax, credit control and auditing while working towards your AAT Professional Diploma.

Bookkeeper

Credit Controller
Keep the cash flowing by building great relationships with customers, managing payments and making sure businesses get paid on time to stay successful.
Data Analyst
Turn numbers into powerful insights. You’ll be the colleague who makes sense of complex data and helps businesses make smarter choices about their future.
Finance Controller
Take the lead on keeping businesses financially healthy. You’ll be the go-to person for managing money, setting budgets and making key financial calls.
Payroll Manager
Lead your company’s payroll operation. Ensure everyone gets paid correctly and on time while managing compliance, tax and employee benefits.
Entry requirements & how to apply
Most Level 2 and Level 3 Accountancy Apprenticeships start in September. Applications can be submitted all year round, with intakes on certain dates throughout the year, depending on which level. To join our Accountancy Apprenticeship programme, you’ll need:
- Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A keen interest in finance and business
- Good attention to detail
- Commitment to learning and development
- Good problem-solving skills
