What are Skills Bootcamps?
Working with Worcestershire County Council and the Department for Education, we deliver intensive courses that equip you with specialist skills for the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
These programmes, part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, offer a quick route to new opportunities. Whether you’re looking to change careers, advance in your current role or get back into work, our skills bootcamps provide the knowledge, practical skills and confidence you need. Open to all adults, whether you’re employed, self-employed or not currently working, each course leads to a HWGTA Certificate of Achievement, Course Report and Portfolio of Work.

Welding Skills Bootcamp - MIG/MAG/tig Welding
Level up your career prospects with our comprehensive welding programme. This hands-on course enables you to gain real world experience as you progress from beginner to industry ready in just ten days. Welding skills are in high demand across Worcestershire and beyond. With a recognised shortage of qualified welders, this bootcamp offers an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding new career in engineering and manufacturing:
Course details:
- Duration: 10 days
- Location: Worcester Engineering Centre
- Start Dates: WSB9 - Week 1 w/c 4th January 2027 and Week 2 w/c 18th January 2027, WSB10 - Week 1 w/c 11th January 2027 and Week 2 w/c 25th January 2027
- Places: 6 per course
