HWGTA Welcomes New Head of Engineering

Following the retirement of Alan Jones, HWGTA is thrilled to announce the appointment of Steve Hopcutt, as our new Head of Engineering.

Steve brings 18 years of experience within HWGTA, having started his journey as an engineering apprentice. Over the years, he has held a range of roles including Instructor and Training Centre Manager, gaining a deep understanding of engineering training and development.

Steve is excited to build on the strong foundations laid by his predecessor and to lead the department into its next chapter – focusing on innovation, employer collaboration and delivering high-quality training that meets the evolving needs of the engineering sector.

Congratulations to Steve on his new role.
