Mental Health First Aid
The QNUK Level 3 Award for Mental Health First Aiders (RQF), a regulated qualification designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to act as a Mental Health First Aider, particularly within a workplace setting.
To provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Mental Health First Aider, including supporting individuals experiencing difficulties with mental health in the workplace.
Objectives
The training will cover the following areas:
- Understand the principles of mental well-being
- Know the legal requirements for managing mental health in a workplace
- Know how to recognise the cause and impact of stress
- Know how to recognise and support those with a common mental health condition
- Know how to recognise and support individual with psychosis
- Understand why individuals may use harmful strategies to cope with a metal health disorder
- Know how to recognise and support an individual in suicidal crisis.
This course is over 2 days with a multiple choice exam at the end of the course day 2.
Please note: Delegates must demonstrate a sufficient command of the English language to effectively understand and successfully undertake the qualification’s assessment methods.
