HWGTA Apprenticeship Case Study – Megan Pearce Business Administration Level 3

“Becoming an apprentice is definitely something I am very proud of, being an apprentice at the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce has opened my eyes to the world of business and opportunity.

My journey started after finishing my first year at college and not having much of an idea where to go from there, not having much of an idea of what I wanted to do in life or what career path I wanted to pursue.

Being an apprentice completing my Level 3 Business Administration Qualification through Worcestershire Group Training and at the Chamber of Commerce – and working within the membership team, has exposed me multiple business contacts and gaining working relationships that I will carry forward with me in my new role on the events and training team.

The Chamber has opened so many doors and really thrown me into the deep end having endless opportunities to share my ideas and really have an input: to share my opinion. I feel I am a valued member of staff and have been provided with excellent training and guidance from a number of my colleagues.

Being at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce and seeing the salary and skills survey being conducted allowed me to understand that in some sectors there are shortages of skilled employees and that by being an apprentice, working in a professional environment is extremely beneficial for my future.
