Who is this course aimed at?
This one day course is designed for all those who either manage a project or are key players in the process.
Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?
No previous experience required.
Theories and practices of project management are considered although the day is designed to be interactive and highly experiential. Candidates have to think on their feet, manage time and construct strategies in handling various project management situations. Working in small teams they are required to put together plans for building a team, choosing how to lead a team, and guiding the team to perform and complete project management tasks. This is a fun but challenging day where candidates will reflect on how they will handle projects in the future, using the techniques, knowledge and experience they gain from the course.
Training Outcomes - The training will cover the following areas: • Identify exactly what a project is and what makes a project succeed or fail • How to set limits to prevent “scope creep” • Consider risks and contingency plans • Use planning techniques • Explain team-roles and how to select the right people • State how different leadership styles suit different projects and different teams • Carry out several project management tasks
