Course Content

This course will look at the benefits of modern communication methods as well as considering some of the implications of careless or inappropriate use of social networking and other forums.  It will provide positive solutions to help keep staff and service users safe while delivering a high quality personalised service within healthy professional boundaries.


The training will cover the following areas:

  • what is meant by professional boundaries and how social media can affect them
  • the benefits of modern technology including social media, the internet, mobile phones and others
  • specific risks for staff, service users and organisations relating to social media use and misuse
  • how to develop positive alternatives and solutions to protect all


no formal assessment - however certificate of attendance is given to each attendee
