Preparing To Be A Leader Training (Hereford) **July 2019**

Who is this course aimed at?

This three day course is aimed at preparing potential supervisors/leaders that may be in positions of authority in the near future. It would also benefit those new to the role that has had no formal training. This course runs over 3 days: 16th - 18th July 2019.

Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?

None required.  

Course Content

It gives a basic overview of supervisory tasks including all the essential factors of how to lead a team successfully, from setting an example of integrity to delegating the right tasks to the right people. The course includes many practical leadership tasks to give the candidates a real taste of leadership and how to handle the various pressures that a modern-day supervisor faces. Also through course delivery and discussion the candidate will be made aware of the knowledge and wisdom which is essential to leading successfully. Both candidates and sending company contacts will be advised of the strengths of the candidate and the areas which require further development to ensure appointment to supervisory positions will be confidently  

Objectives

The training will cover the following areas:   •     Recognise the transition from team member to team leader •     Define the qualities of a successful supervisor •     Set an example for a team to follow •     Identify how to motivate and organise a team •     Use assertive language and action •     Communicate in a clear manner •     Give feedback that motivates, encourages and corrects
