Introduction to CNC Programming

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at machinists wishing to progress onto CNC machines or setter operators that require additional training. It is a 5 day course running from: Maximum number of delegates on this course is 4, therefore early booking is advisable. Thank you

Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?

It is a prerequisite for attendance on this course, that the candidate has either attended the Measuring Equipment Course, OR is fully conversant with the use, reading and care of verniers, micrometers, height gauges and DTI’s. They must also have some basic machining or CNC setting experience.

•     Interpret drawing •     Identification of m/c axes •     Absolute & Incremental dimensions •     G & M codes •     Write a program •     Select tools •     Set up tools •     Set up work piece and establish a datum •     Set work and tools offsets •     Complete a dry run •     Edit program •     Run program

No formal assessment, observations throughout the session
