Who is this course aimed at?

This course is designed to increased knowledge of the Microsoft Access Program.

Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?

We strongly suggest that delegates have a working knowledge of databe construction in Access, including Form, Report and Query design or have completed the Introduction to Access course prior to attending.

Course Content

This course enables delegates to apply some of the more advanced database design techniques to a working model. It builds on the introductory course, allowing delegates to be more familiar with the design concepts, and the built in Access functionality. Attention is also given to the overall visual design and  allowing  the techniques to be applied in the workplace.


By the end of the session delegates will be able to:- •      Introduction to relational databases •      Types of relationships between database objects •      Using Primary keys and data types •      Creating and editing  table relationships •      Creating an advanced user input form with navigation controls •      Creating advanced queries (Make table, delete, action etc) •      Using calculated fields in queries and reports •      Customising reports •      Linking reports to Word and Excel •      Introduction to Access macros •      Creating Lookup columns and fields •      Data Validation tools
