Becoming a fluent user of social media is as important today as learning how to use a mobile phone or an email account was in the past; invaluable for branding, marketing and customer communications social media is also becoming an effective education and market research tool. Each type of social media has its own vocabulary, purposes and quirks but with some basic strategic development guidance, leveraging social media will become an integral part of your professional persona and your organisation’s marketing and digital strategy. This course examines how to project a professional, persuasive digital presence which will enhance both your personal reputation and that of your organisation. Focussed on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter the course will show delegates how to develop a professional profile, plan and create persuasive and engaging content and make all-important connections with individual and corporate users.
The aim of the session is to enable delegates to develop compelling personal and organisational profiles and to allow them to plan a digital strategy incorporating social media use. After completing the training, delegates will be able to:
- Outline the main features of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
- Describe the personal and organisational uses and purposes of these 3 types of social media
- Develop a compelling social media profile on 3 types of social media
- Develop an engaging presence on all 3 types of social media
