Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?
A 1-day update course is also offered which focuses on the updates from the 17th to 18th Edition regulations. There are no pre-requisites for entry to the 1-day update course. However, it should be noted that although the 1-day course will only cover the update to the regulations, the exam at the end of the day will be an exam on the entire regulation. It is therefore strongly recommended that a good working knowledge of the 17th Edition regulations will be invaluable in helping achieve a pass in the final exam
Assessment: The Exam - City & Guilds Level 3 2382-18 The examination has a multiple-choice format, with 60 questions, which you will have 2 hours to answer. The test is offered on Secure Assess, a simple online service that does not require strong IT skills. Secure Assess uses a bank of questions set and approved by City & Guilds. Each candidate receives randomised questions, so no two candidates will sit exactly the same test. The exam always follows a set structure, based on the seven parts of the IEE Wiring Regulations plus the appendices. The table below outlines the sections of the exam and approximate number of questions in each section. It also shows the weighting – so you can see how important each section is in determining your final score.
