Who is this course aimed at?

17TH EDITION WIRING REGULATIONS 3 DAY COURSE. We offer the City and Guilds 2382-15 (latest version) 17th Edition training courses. This course is targeted towards practising electricians, designers, surveyors and anyone who needs to have an understanding of the IEE Wiring Regulations. A 3 day course: 17th - 19th January 2018 at NEW Worcester premises

Do you need previous experience or qualifications to attend this course?

You don’t need to have any formal qualifications prior to this City and Guilds course, although electrical experience/knowledge is helpful.

Course Content

The 17th Edition course content is broken into easy to digest units and the syllabus is built around the BS7671:2015: Scope principals. The units are as follows:   - Definitions - Assessment of the general characteristics - Protection - How to select and erect equipment - Inspection and testing - Special installations and special locations - Appendices   Once the course has been completed successfully candidates will have the skills and knowledge they required to understand and comply with the 17th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations.

Objectives

Day 1. Morning - Parts 1,2,3 covered along with practice question papers. Afternoon - Part 4 with practice question paper.  Day2. Morning - Part 5 with practice question paper Afternoon - Parts 6,7 and the appendices with practice question papers. A practice exam paper covering all areas is taken home for the delegates to attempt.   Day3.  Morning - Cable calculations and revision along with common questions that come up in the exam. A joint attempt at a full exam. Question and answer session. Afternoon - The 17th Edition online exam.  IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition BS 7671:2015 The examination has a multiple choice format, with 60 questions, which you will have 2 hours to answer. The test is offered on GOLA, a simple online service that does not require strong IT skills. GOLA uses a bank of questions set and approved by City & Guilds. Each candidate receives randomised questions, so no two candidates will sit exactly the same test. Candidates will know on the day if they have passed the exam. The book that you will use during the course is below; we will have copies of this book for delegates to use during the course but not to take away with them.
