Starting a new phase in your life can be daunting, especially the time of moving from full time education and into a workplace.  To ease this time of transition, and make it an effective move for both you and your employer, we deliver an induction programme.  The induction programme differs between the types of apprenticeship.

At the start of their apprenticeship, all new entrants in our main intake (July/August) are invited to attend an extended induction which can last between one to two weeks depending on programme type.

The induction is aimed at giving you an insight into the apprenticeship programme, with taster training sessions of the skills used in the workplace to allow you to feel more confident on your first day, if you are starting in the workplace shortly afterwards. Please note most engineering apprentices will spend a large proportion of their first year of training at one of our engineering training centres and therefore their induction is adapted accordingly.

The induction process is a very important part of your apprenticeship, not only for you but for your future employer.  The training received will benefit you greatly by giving you the basic skills to start your working life.  It also assures companies that their new member of staff is prepared, with the ability to be effective from day one.
