Kerry joined HWGTA in 2012 and works as a trainer and assessor in the Commerce Department, training and supporting apprentices in business administration, customer service, IT and accountancy. She has a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector through Warwick University, and have been teaching and training for nearly 10 years.
She says: “I started my working life as an apprentice, gaining a level 2 NVQ in business administration in1997. I feel this qualification and invaluable initial experience kick-started my career. With this opportunity and some hard work I was able to develop my skills, and over time built a successful career in customer services, gaining management positions with companies such as npower Business Services, Atos Origin and ATS Euromaster.
Having a solid background in customer services allows me to share my knowledge and experience with apprentices at HWGTA to support and help develop their skills, so they can build a rewarding career of their own”.
